About this product
The AlphaTheta XDJ-AZ is a professional double deck controller with 16 pads and built-in mixer. It features pitch shifting/harmonizing effects, 2 phono inputs, and USB input. Made in Japan with a maximum sampling rate of 24-bit at 44.1 kHz. Priced at $3,449.00.
Our take
This XDJ-AZ seems similar to the all-in-one system but is labeled as a double deck controller. It has 16 pads and a built-in mixer, plus pitch shifting effects. The build quality is typical of Japanese manufacturing — excellent. However, the 24-bit/44.1 kHz sampling rate is surprisingly low for a $3,449 unit; most competitors offer higher rates. Also, it only has USB input, no XLR outputs? That's a miss for professional use. The price is hard to justify unless you specifically need the form factor. I'd recommend checking the specs carefully before buying.
